Using A8 wiring harness and ecu with manual tranny?

Ok now i would like to know if a 2000 a8 ecu and wiring would working with manual tranny and no tcu via recoding the ecu?

I don't think anyone tried it yet. Unplug the TCU and recode the engine.

Change the second to last number (5 digit code) from 7 to 1.

ugh. easier to go with a standalone.
