Default Value Predicitions?

Ok, with the new A8 coming out shortly, what can we expect to see the market for "old bodied" S8's doing?
Audi's typically loose 30% value the first year, but with the body change, I'm thinking more like 50%...
Any thoughts what a "gently used" 2002 S8 might sell for in year or so?

Good Point! However I have seen a few at Carousel (Local dealer) that had 8-10,000 miles on them.. Florida cars that were shipped in.

I just leased a 2003 S8 a few weeks ago, and the 3 year resid was 52 pct, which is the same as the S6 I believe. So, no haircut seems to be priced in up front.

Yes, I understand the "gently" used part as being hopeful! My point is that there are people that drive nice cars and then get rid of them after a couple of months or a year...
There's a guy who lives near me that can't keep a car more than a year. He's 77 years old, and drives to Florida and back. That's it! So he turns 'em in with 5-7,000 miles. He's going to be selling his 745i this spring when his new A8 arrives...
Hope that helps to clear up what I'm looking for!

If youth is wasted on the young, this is proof that wealth is wasted on the elderly.

Default There is an S8 in my neighborhood, and the neener that drives it has NO idea what he has.

I've followed him a couple of times, and he drives it like a Cadillac- what a moron. I waved to him once from my A8 and he looked at me like I was crazy. It just goes to show that just because someone has the money they may not have the sense to go with it. I suppose it IS possible to find a "Gently" used S8- what a waste!!!!

Ya, some dudes think just 'cause it was expensive they gotta have it. Still, would you track your S8?
