Hi,
I am new to posting but have used the forum for many tips and tricks previously so I thank any of you who respond. I have a 2000 A8L and I replaced the timing belt kit, both cam tensioners, and the seals that go with it about two months ago. I had started to notice a little leak from both my valve covers not too long after. I replaced the seals when I did the previous work so I thought they should be good. I took one off and cleaned everything, dried it, and RTV'd it but it had little impact. I took it off again and cleaned it and the gasket with brake cleaner and put it back and again after a week it started to seep again. It is seeping where the chain goes through the little pool of oil in the "chain galley" so to speak. It seems where the chain travels through the oil requires oil to be in contract with the valve cover and seal. Is there something I am missing or I am not doing right. I am about to buy a new set of gaskets but I thought I would see what you guys thought. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chad

You need new valve cover gaskets. They are not that expensive. Autohousaz have the kit. http://www.autohausaz.com/
