I took the plunge a couple of months ago after talking to termina8r about his lift. Like him, I wish I got this years ago.
Putting a new rack in my BMW now and have done a bunch of stuff on my A8 and other cars - it's getting a workout. I don't have the headroom to get it fully extended but it sure is nice not to be crawling around on the floor. I changed a couple of axles on someones A8 the other night and it made it pretty easy.
There is great access to the front and rear of pretty much any car. No way you could drop a transmission. I "think" you could drop the exhaust and slide it out on the A8 if you needed to change the prop shaft seal.
It was around $1,600 delivered.

it's only deep enough for a creeper really. Easier than ramps but no comparison to a lift.
I can stand in the pit and I pick up another 8" or so.

once it's locked in place you need to go UP the same distance to release the safety. I had to remove some bulbs to get my car down the first time !

Is it a sheet or individual tiles? Where did you buy it? Is it glued down?
I have been looking to do this in my garage and want to avoid racedeck or U-Do-It.
Thanks, Ed

the floor buffed and waxed couple of times a year so the dirt/grease don't get embedded. The concrete needs to be in really good shape (smooth)for these to work too.
