I have yet to master the initial light throttle application on first gear start off so wifey's head does not end up in the back seat! A little throttle application and nothing, a millimeter more and HERE WE GO with the head snap and all. Fly by wire I presume. Is this adjustable with VAG-COM? It is an interesting quandry, too little or too much? Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I've noticed. Even though I've owned the car since early August, it still manages to catch me sometimes; well, at least once every time I drive! And yes, all S8s have throttle-by-wire, but I'm not certain if it can be sorted with Vag-Com or not.

I have noticed it too. I am hoping that I will get a little better at modulating the gas pedal. It seems a little more sensitive in the morning when I first start out but it might just be me.

I've done VAG throttle adaptation, new MAF, etc and always the same thing. Give me a throttle cable any day compared to this!
