Default Wanna see some RS4 wheels under the Xmas tree! 18s or 19s?

My criteria: looks, comfort, and performance (I'd like better cornering, but I don't track it).

AAARims has an 18" RS4 package with Conti Touring Contact CH95 tires, 245/45/18, for $1375. Looks like a good all-season tire. Of course I'd prefer the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, but don't want to spend the extra $105 per tire.

They also have a 19" package with Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires, 255/40/19, for $1645. This is a summer tire, but I think I want all-seasons. I'm in the Southeast, but we get the occasional snow/ice, and I drive north once a year.

Also, which setup would work better with H&Rs? TIA.

Default In ATL, I dont think you will need all season tires

Most roads in ATL are good so I would opt for the 19". Ii would look great. I have 19's so 18's look small to me now.

Default True, but would I regret not having them when I drive

to DC every December, or the 1-2 times/year it gets dicey here?

You must not ever have to go downtown.

Default <*ding*>

Personally, I'd do all-seasons. In fact, I did. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Great tire.

Default Actually, I work in Midtown, Downtown area.

Mostly I have had good luck in midtown. Monroe Dr has been a nightmare for a while but I know exactly where you are coming from.

Default I do NOT recommend the supra712s on an A8.... I had them...

I felt these were far to soft for the A8, flopping to the side under corner loading. I sent them back complaining about the seller who pushed me to them, and received the ones I wanted ( the S0-3's) with full credit from the 712s.

If you go 19, get a stiff tire or you may be sorry. Been there done that

My 19s with the S0-3s are a dream. Still very smooth on the road, and when I push the car hard, I no longer have to worry.

Default I thought you'd love anything called "Supra!" j/k

I'm leaning towards the Conti 95Hs and hoping they give a decent ride in the summer.
