Does your problem show up as a nasty shuddering when braking from higher speeds? My 2001 A8L has had that problem practically since I got it about three years ago, and the rotors have been replaced several times -- but the car still often shudders violently. The rotors were just replaced about a month ago, and the problem is back already. I like accelerating and riding in the car...but I get the creeps every time I have to use the brake pedal, wondering whether this time I'll get smooth braking or something that resembles the paint-shaking machine at Home Depot.

Default Re: After reading all of this, it does sound like something could be wrong with the master cylinder

Thanks. I'll get the details from the dealer. For what it's worth, I'll let you all know the details.

Default Re: yeah audi have paid for mine twice on my s8

they say theres no problem here in the u.k. , but std brakes are a very spongy and poor set up
