Came back from a week long bus trip and opened the trunk to a gush of water dripping down from inside the trunk lid. I checked the sunroof drains and they were clear, pinched the wheel well nipples and only a bit of water came out. What gives ???

any water that flows towards the trunk should be directed out by the channels around the trunk. So the only way water could get into the trunk lid would be through the nav antenna or tail lights and I would think that it would be near impossible for water to flow off the trunk lid and through the tail lights. I'm stumped ! Any thoughts appreciated.

I had mine parked for a while when I was doing the timing belt/tstat, and I found that condensation on the rear window was draining into the trunk/spare well, and then was recondensing on the trunk lid.
