Default Why change the brake lines???

When you go in there, you'll find out that the front brake lines are custom bent and only have a little bit of rubber on them.

To replace them with a stainless steel line doesn't make sense. The hard piping that the factory did is probably higher quality.

But if you do it, please take some pictures of the lines, especially the rears, I have not found lines to replace mine yet in the rears, always get the fittings wrong.

Default Re: rear ss brake lines

Goodridge ss brake lines came with my Stasis "Track Sport Rear" kit. I assume you could buy lines from Stasis or perhaps directly from Goodridge. Note, though, that the lines for the Track Sport Kit are probably slightly shorter than the OE lines because of the relocated caliper. Similarly, OE A8 lines are probably slightly longer than OE S8 lines for the same reason.

Stasis Brakes

Default Re: Not a bad idea... my a6 had many stone chips in the front from the turnpike..

If you want, here is the link that is the most reasonable priced, I think.
Check them out.

http://www.textint.com/protex/automotive_front_ends.htm</a
