After I had changed the ATF fluid. Fault codes said something about a fault in F-125 switch.
I tried to clear the codes, but the codes kept coming back. The switch was covered in oil. Then the car sat in the garage for a few days, while I fixed a couple oil leaks, also did the passenger side output seal, (it was leaking too). Now, the rear of the engine and switch is dry. Since then tranny has not gone into safe mode again, it's been about 6 months, knock on wood! I think the leaks and the fault codes were related. Good Luck
