Went to the Honda dealer to find a 2001 A8L...
It was a cashmere gray A8L with a brownish interior and 98,000 miles. It was in pretty good shape the paint didn't look too bad at all. The leather was in really good condition inside too. They left it unlocked so I checked it out. As far as I could tell it had the solar sunroof and Nav, comfort seats and rear heated seats. I dont know all the options on these models as I have a 97 A6. The headrests did not go up and down, but the motors did work. It did have rear sun shades and the back one was up so I would assume it works. I don't know what they were asking as it wasn't marked, but I will try to call just because I am curious. I may try to get a test drive and see what the A8 is all about, however then I might be in trouble. I am not looking for a new car as my A6 is still serving me well and I am not in a position financially either. I did pop the hood to take a look. The engine bay was pretty dusty and the cabin filters seemed like the had never been changed as they were kind of sucked down. The oil did seem pretty clean though. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience. This was my first time checking a D2 out up close, however I have seen a D3, but I browse this forum a lot as I love the A8. I will post what they are asking when I find out. Take care.

maybe not, I'm not a fan of the colors so much, plus first on the list would be TB so
that is reason enough to not buy it. I've seen pictures of you guys doing that job, mucho work.

Do they have maintenance records for it?
You are assuming the TB wasn't done. I'd guess it probably wasn't done either, so if said smart salesman steers you that way, let him give you a number then you can come back to him with,"It's due for a timing belt and that is big $$"
