What does anyone know about Warranty Direct for S8 coverage?
They advertise here.
After getting a $1,350 estimate from dealer to replace clock spring in steering wheel (Airbag light on - VAGCOM #00558) and harness for Brake Pad sensors, I decided if I plan to keep this S8, while out of warranty I either need to invest Time I don't have to self repairs or be prepared to spend big for repairs.
Quote of $2495 for 3 years - up to 75,000 mile bumper to bumper coverage and say they will pay for service anywhere, including my local dealer with $110/hour labor rate. Car now has 43,500 miles so I get just over 30,000 miles and 3 years.
Also per their rep, if I put this policy in place before it goes in for repairs the above would be covered, so >50% of premium would already be paid.
Any experience with them, or another reputable firm would be welcomed.

Re: S8 coverage?
Try 1 Source (www.1SourceAutoWarranty.com or 888-905-5700).
We went with them for my wife's Lexus LX470 & my 01 S8. They cover the navigation & emmision systems as well as offer bumper to bumper coverage with $0 deductible. A bit pricey but well worth the piece of mind. The S8 w/40K cost me $4500 w/the "Diamond" term w/48 months & an additional 48K.
They typically throw in the "Titanium pkg" w/road side assistance, towing, locksmith, tire & wheel protection, winshield & dent repair. (can't speak about the value of this package yet)
I've never had one question about making a claim. The only thing they stipulate is that you can't make a claim within the 1st 30 days or 1000 miles. You're really only getting a 47 month 47K coverage plan which still does not sit well with me. It's still the best plan I was able to find bar none.
Good Luck
