It seems like a year ago or so. he had taken it apart and was putting in new valves and camshafts if I rember correctly. Has anyone heard hwo that project went and if he was able to generate more HP?

He's having Statis put the engine back in and get the car started, last I heard, they were in the process of setting up some race cars for the season, then they would get to his car.

But for the price of a custom supercharger system.....he better!
So he's going from about 20-24 lb injectors.....or a 20% increase....if he could use the fuel, that would be anywhere up to 60 HP.....considering the UrS8 had 340 HP, I think that might be a good number, but that engine also had a redline of 7,000 RPM and I don't think Jeff changed his RPM.
I believe he's gonna get a noticable amount of power, but he has also put almost 2 years and I have to believe $10K in it.
I could develop a supercharger for my car for about 6K in cost including a chip.....or so I think. That probably means 8.5K
Anyone want to donate 6K to the fund?

there has to be another way. still not cost effective but better then your competition. There has to be a way to take something like the eaton scharger mounted similar to the hack setup at motodyne, custom the headwork, and redo the sensor. finding someone to do the chip work shouldnt be hard. this forum alone should have produced someone like that....

You will need:
Blower - $2100
Injectors - $450
Intercooler - $1000
Chip - $1000
Plumbing - $750
Mounting Bracket - $600
Those are realistic numbers and that's $5,900.
That does not include any engineering or labor. You want to put an Eaton blower on? Be my guest, but without intercooling, it will only create a lot of hot air.
How would you get the price down?

Superchager calculator:
Existing horsepower: 310 wheel HP
Planned level of boost: 5 psi
Planned fuel octane rating: 92
Intercooler / Aftercooler None
Estimated Results:
HP Loss due to timing adjustment: 0
Est. flywheel HP with supercharger: 519.25
Est. wheel HP with supercharger: 415.4
Total HP Gain: 105.4 wheel HP
Percentage Gain: 34 %
No change in timing...
No change in fuel pumps, injectors, and intercooler.
Now this is all theoretical.
But thats at least 3k in savings.
I would only want about 4 or 5 psi.
