What fluid do you all recommend for differentials?

I know Audi recommends a specific fluid...which is the same as the manual tranny fluid of VW/Audi

Default So i just need a marine oil pump to get the oil back out?
what size are those plugs anyone know offhand?

Do i have to drop the catoff to get to the middle one like audi pages says? MY 2000.

This might not be a bad idea to do before i get on the road. (i have a garage to use with jacks and room yee haw.

You can get to the rear and the center 8 or 10 mm Allen, but there is no drain on the front diff.
