what needs to be done to use halogen headlights in a xenon equipped car..
i got a car with front end damage and dont want to pay for xenons, would rather just use cheaper halogens

You need different projectors or headlight assembly from a '97 to convert.
You can get HID bulbs that drop in to halogen projectors, but not the other way around. Do you have a pre-facelift or post-facelift A8?

i have a pre-facelift '98 which came with xenons..
and i was wondering if the regular halogen lamps (meaning the whole headlight assembly) will just plug in and work, or if there's some wiring that needs to be done
