What is the recomended fuel octane on the A8?

The S8 is 91 or better, so "Premium" gas. I'd imagine it's the same for the A; the S has essentially the same engine, just with different tuning.

That is correct sir. The A8 is to be run on 91 octane or better. The engine will run on lower octane with out knock though. But don't be fooled into thinking this means you should run it this way. The engine has knock sensors and will adjust the timing to eliminate the knock but at a sacrifice in performance.
