shopping for new wheels and tires for the a8. was wondering what tire size to put on 19x8, 35 offset wheels. 255/40-19, 245/40-19, others? any preference or recommendations?

If the specs for a 255/45-19 don't permit an 8" wheel width, he should fall back to 245/40-19.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/upgrades/tiresizeoptions.html">A8/S8 Tire Options</a></li></ul>

I was told exactly as Randy indicated. 245 max on an 8.0" rim and if you go to a 9" you can step up. The real question I wonder is should I reduce the offset? I'm concerned with too much negative camber and massive inside wear because I went to 9" and 45mm ofset?? thoughts

...and they didn't even look too beefy for the wheel whatsoever. Fit pretty square up and down actually.
And prior to getting my 8.5" BBS's I was 100000% definitely getting 255's for either my current Avus' or the Euro Avus' I was supposed to get.
YMMV?
