Default what is up with the seal in the rear diff.

The dealer told me that it is leaking. the warrenty company says that its "normal seepage" I just laughed when I heard that.

they say that they will only cover it if it is leaking "to a drip" what is gonna happen, will it ever drip? or leak out slowly till there is nothing left? then bind up?

any input is appreciated.

Default Normally we discover this leak when we smell burnt gear oil.

The oil burns when it <b><i>drips</i></b> onto the exhaust system. If you smell burnt oil, QED.

I just finished replacing the rear differential seals - including the front (drive shaft to diff). The front seal was leaking - whether it meets your warrentee sevice's definition is unclear but i'm with you - their response did not make sense.

Default This may be the first for you, but ...

It certainly wasn't the first time I suffered from <a href="http://search.audiworld.com/?q=brain+fog&u=17157&s=all&db=1999-01-01&de=2006-09-09">Brain Fog</a> :-)
