Perhaps I was just dealing with someone who was just having a bad day, but.....
I saw some polished stainless steel Audi A8 exhaust tips on on ebay. The lister had a picture of the tips with with the Audi part number in the pisture. I was also able to locate the part number on the audiusa.com web site. The 2 part numbers were the same.
I figured it would be a agood thing to patronize a vendor who supports this site. I remembered from the links section that there may have been a vendor that might fit the bill, alloemaudiparts.com.
I drilled down through the heirarchical parts listings. I selected muffler. It said to call thier telephone number. I did that and made my way to a representative through the menu. Eventually, a represenatative answered the phone.
I told the gentleman on the other end of the line that was looking for the aforemention exhaust tips . He checked the database and stated,he nothing with that desription. I asked if the Audi part number would help he said it may. I gave him the part number. He said there was no listing. I was in the middle asking if this was a part that could be ordered. The next thing I know, I was speaking to a dial tone! Wow! I felt as though I hit a new low in customer service.
What are your experiences? I still need buy a Bentley manual for my car. They have a good price, but I don't want patronize a vendor if this is thier normal mode of operation.
