I have the 18" Pilot Sports for summer. I like them very much. Nice agressive tread pattern, low noise and smooth ride. Semm to be wearing well also.
I run the Goodyear LS in the winter on the stock 17" wheels. They are OK.

Here's their <a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Fsurveyresults%2Fsurveyd isplay.jsp%3Ftype%3DW%26VT%3DC">Winter Tire Survey</a>, and since you have dedicated tires for winter and summer, the <a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Fsurveyresults%2Fsurveyd isplay.jsp%3Ftype%3DMP">Max Performance Survey</a>. For additional details, check the test results for the specific tires.
I've used the Bridgestone S-03, Michelin PS2, and Pirelli 210 on my S8 and can't really argue with the ratings.

both are optimized for their respective seasons and I am delighted w/ both sets. I've always had studded snows, but nobody makes an 18" studdable. Since 90% of winter driving is on dry roads here in CO, they handle much better than studs. I just can't go as fast on snow and ice. Toyo's are superb for summer; fantastic handling, very smooth and quiet and reasonably priced.
