missing trim piece of some kind:

OEM wheels I picked up with some marginal Conti tires. Seems to have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the slight shimmy/rattle I had in the front end.

The tires are squealing a lot more around the freeway clover leaf ramps. Not sure if it's due to compound of the Conti tires (vs the Pirelli tires on the ghetto wheels) or due to switching from 19" to 17" wheels.

opinions?

You probably have a bent 19" wheel. Which trim piece are you referring to?

Default I don't believe you can order that part separately, either.

When I tried to order that same missing ****, the dealer told me it was only available WITH the carpeted fuse closeout panel.

I, like you, already had the carpeted piece, and didn't want to fork out the $150 + (this is Canada) they were asking JUST for the ****.

After trying to find the part by itself in ETKA, I get a part unavailable message.

All the V8s use that **** in one way or another. The original V8s had two of 'em. There should be something used available from those types of suppliers.

I got one from Carson at Riverside for $4, along with new keys for a couple of projects.
