I believe 0W-30 is what is in the manual as recommended viscosity
I bought the stuff some time ago....but I looked at the manual when I bought it.

I'd recommend a used oil analysis
Some A8's have a degree of fuel dilution. If yours has any fuel in the oil, I would not use any xW-30. The viscosity will be affected by the fuel content.

I faithfully use what ever oil is on sale when I need to do an oil change. (That would be now ;-0, the reminder flashes every startup)
There is a case of quarts in the garage. 10-40 Carquest!
