Wheel Noise / Tires

I have an '01 A8L with approx. 24,000 miles, and have developed a front wheel noise. After multiple visits, and tire rotations, etc., the dealer swears it's tire related, but did replace bearings last visit. Noise is still there. So on to looking at the tires. I have the 18" wheels with Bridgestones at the moment. They are a bit "boomy" over surface cracks, uneven pavement, rough pavement, etc. Would appreciate advice on other options (Dunlops? Michelins? Others??), or input on wheel noise if anyone else has had any experience. Thanks.

I've got an S8 with Dunlop 8000's. They are very quite and not boomy at all. I think they are slightly quieter than the 17' Conti's I have on my previous A8. The Dunlops are much less boomy over rough road surfaces, no twang at all. A friend of mine has Michelan Pilot Sports on his 740i sport and I was very impressed with the quietness.

Thanks for the feedback. Have ordered Dunlops. Hopefully this will do it. I'm bothered by the fact that, if this is the tires (and I still have my doubts, but we'll soon know), why they developed the noise. But, no interest in more Bridgestones, so didn't even pursue the warranty...
Thanks again for the input.
