I need to know this becuase my tranny has a kick to it when i floor it a little. Someone in the "AUDI A8 OR BMW 740IL" section below said i should tighten the throttle cable. I guess this would make my car no longer have a kick to it.

There is a U shaped clip on it. You can pull the clip off and adjust the cable. It will not change responsiveness, it will adjust the pedal height. If adjust it to the tightest position without pulling the throttle, it will bring your gas pedal up to almost as high as the brake pedal. If your pedal sits low now, you have less throttle movement before you hit the kick down switch. This might be your problem. If you adjust the cable, the pedal travel will be much longer before it hits the kick down switch.
