Paul, do you think the tranny from the S4 would bolt to our engine?

I think so, but how do you get the wiring harness/ECU/TCU to work?

Default Would you have a TCU with a manual?

ECU and wiring harness we could get from a euro spec S8. This has been bugging me, since I saw the first S4 with a 6 speed. I just don't like automatics. I'll do some digging over in Germany.

Maybe there's an ECU code for manual trans that you can program with the VAG-com?

Default I Would Kill For a Manual!

Isn't there a way? Even if it means a new transmission?

Default Schaltgetriebe

Just in case anyone was wondering. That is manual transmission in German. I have been doing some searching on google.de for some info.

Default Why not just add the clutch, tranny, and ECU. The wiring may be the same, a part of the harness ...

... might not have a connector, just like the tiptronic shifter plug(s).

Just an idea, thats how we do it in supra land.
