You can make the S6 as fast as you want, but I love the cavernous interior of my A8 and would be really bummed if they didn't offer up an S version of the latest style.

I'd wager that the motor is a 4.2L V8 with FSI.

foolish to ignore that....I would bet it would be a V10 that ends up in the S8 and I doubt they will make an RS8...althought I would buyone forsure.

I have thought that the Cosworth RS6 power plant would have been a good motor to put in the S8 but with 520hp and 530 tq.....my opnion is that the tq delivery and amount of tq the motor produces would be perfect for a car of the S8's size.

The S6 gets a 420-440hp FSI 4.2L V8, and the S8 gets an approx 500hp FSI 5L V10. As heavy as the D3 A8 has become, the V10 is gonna be needed in the S8.

I would only consider the new S8 if it can sprint to 60mph at no more than 5.2-5.3
