Windshield Wiper speeds
Why does a car (97 A8 Q) with so many features have only a 2 speed windshield Wiper system?
I find this irritating every time it rains.

I guess that's just the 97. I have a 99 and it has 3 different speeds and different intermittent
times. Usually as the cars progress throughout the year they add small features here and there that they may think it needs and then comes the major/minor face lift.

A relay
Someone might be able to chime in on the details, but I am pretty sure that a wiper relay exists that allows variable intermitent operation. Something about "Turn the wipers on at the intermittent setting, then turn them off, then on again and the interval is set".
exact details may vary considerably! ;-)
This may be an AUDI option
Half information I know, but to the topic.

Info from the past
Since I resubscribed, I've seen a lot of posts about intermittent wiper
relays. I've had this sitting in my in box fo quite some time. Hope it
helps some of you out.

I can't vouch for the part number as I haven't got mine yet.
