Have to change it before I drive to Detroit tomorrow....have everything.....have Jiffy Lubes all over the place near me....but I had them change my van oil previously and when I went to remove the drain plug.....tight as a drum, took me 20 minutes to get it off.
I hate cleaning all that stuff up.

Unfortunately the ones who know how to do it only want your money, and the ones who do not know how to do it are trying to learn on your car, and may be they get it right, may be not. Last March I took my van to have the rear brakes done and I also asked them to change the brake fluid.
Last week I did my front brakes myself, and I had to change the calipers too. What did I see? The fluid was never changed.
The master cylinder failed on my parents Corolla, and a local shop changed the master cylinder. The brakes did not feel right. I took the car back to them because I did not want my parents to be fooled again. The diagnosis was that the master cylinder was defective. So they put a new one in. I was watching them. As soon as they installed the new Master cylinder on the car they told me that the car was ready. When I asked them to bleed the wheels they said that it was not necessary. I had to start yelling in order for them to do it.
My neighbor had a heater core problem on his 1982 Buick and the mechanic got the pneumatic saw and cut the firewall to gain access to it. My neigbor then was asking me if this was the way it should get done.
I remeber when I was a kid all technicians in general were taking pride for their work.
What is wrong with these people today. What is going to happen to us if nobody wants to work.

I had to use a breaker bar to get my friend's drain plug off of his maxima because of a genius who thought air guns were great for everything.

Not exactly a huge amount, but still worth it IMO. And now that I'm using M1 instead of the mixed synth that I was getting at Lube Plus, I can go 5k (or more) without changing it.
