would 245/45/17s be ok on our D2s? OE size is 225/55/17.

would 245/45/17s be ok on our D2s? OE size is 225/55/17.

yeah, but 235/55/17 PZero Neros are W-rated and $100 ea @ tirerack

Default I have a set of 245/45/17 Dunlop FM901s that need to find a new home.

90%+ left

came off a GS300 for A/S tires for my father inlaw

Default You'll have 4% speedo error and add 1/2" to the fender gap.

The fender gap is already rather large on the A8; I think you'd hate it with another 1/2". Other than the OE 225/55-17, the best match on a 17" wheel is 245/50-17.

BTW: 245/45-17 is off the top of the chart in <a href="http://www.audipages.com/upgrades/tiresizeoptions.html">A8/S8 Tire Options</a>.

Default but if I were to lower it with Eibachs/Bilsteins or H&R COs...would it work...

and would it look good? Anyone done it?
