Would I be crazy to trade my OEM 18" wheels for a set of aftermarket 19"s?

If the OEM are forged and aftermarket are cast...
as nearly all of them are, a mental status exam might be in order. When you are driving the car you can't see the wheels. The girls at the Burger King probably won't measure them. Bigger cast rims and less rubber mean more pothole damage to tires and rims both.
Weigh the cost in terms of cases of wine or beer. What is more fun?
If I understand the platforms correctly, one of the candidates has pledged to supply large rims for all Americans, using money borrowed from Chinese banks, but also to confiscate large carbon footprint cars driven by enviro-raping plutocrats making over $250K year. So where are we? Perhaps you should wait it out.

I would be an interested buyer in your rims
I have a couple wheels I need to replace due to prior owner's repairs that are now going bad, almost delaminating or something weird. Hard to explain
Unfortunately I didn't catch the fact that the wheels had been repaired until I saw from a different angle and light about 6 months after purchase ... grrr ....
