Default Would you farm it out or do it yourself?

I think I will bring a seat over to a couple of places, but calling around, one guy said about $350-$375 for re dying the seats.

It doesn't look like I could get the parts for less than $150 by the time I'm done.....maybe I could strip them for the guy to make sure that they come out nicely.

What am I thinking? $200 for labor to dye the seats? Why wouldn't I?

However, the Alcantara doesn't appear it could be dyed (at least that's what the place in FL told me).....maybe I could have those sections recovered. Alcantara - 36" x 56" piece, $90/yard!!! and they only sell in full yards.

Default I think you'd be happier with the results if a pro did it.

I've used Riggs Brothers in Downers Grove, they were great. They have several locations.

Farm it out. Your time is worth more than $200.

Default Alcantara is just a brand name microfibre suede. You could find some other synthetic microfibre

material that might be better price wise and maybe better color choices as well. I think that there are diffferent subtle patterns available in that suede material.

Just an example.

Outsource it for sure.
It is not going to make the car faster.
You're far too busy with serious supercharger work.
Alcantara is really "Ultrasuade, Milano," style 401. They do have a color called "Ecru," #1150.
That said, I have the swatch book from about 2+ years ago and there are some other very nice slightly darker colors available that may resemble your exterior color and stay cleaner looking.
Let me know if you want me to send you the swatch book or I could give you the name of the local ultrasued rep who works out of Western Springs (2+years ago anyway he did.)

Default search the web you should be able to find it pretty cheap and then take it to them. If you can not

find a place email and I will go through some of my old files from when I did boat interiors in college I am sure that one of my old suppliers can get it.
