A8L 2000 Ohio

my front passengers side light is out, error measge is showing in the instrument cluster, my question is how do I determine if the problem is the bulb or the ballast, 00 A8 facelift.

If it works, it's the bulb. If it's the bulb, replace both.

You will need Torx® screwdriver bits to remove the casing that covers the back of the bulbs. You should also not touch the glass of the bulbs with bare hands/fingers (have heard that skin oil can damage the bulbs, so best to wear gloves). The driver's side is fairly easy, but on the passenger side you will have to remove the airbox, air filter, et al., before getting to that bulb. This is just a general overview, but I believe the procedure is on audipages.com
