Default XM Press Release WRONG- '04 A8L Converters delayed to June

I emailed Allen Goldberg, who authored the press release dated 3/8/04, stating that the XM satellite radio converters for the '04 A8L models were available at Audi dealerships now.

Here is his answer:

"I've been informed by Audi that the press release was mistaken in when the kit will be available. They won't have them in dealerships until June. I apologize for the error. You should have no problem in June getting what youneed. If you do encounter any difficulty, please email or call me and I will make sure that you are able to retrofit your A8."

Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted....<ul><li><a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040308/dcm012_1.html">http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040308/dcm012_1.html</a</li></ul>

Default Hey Doc - I read it as being available in June when you first posted the weblink

Sure wish it was sooner though. I miss my XM Commander...Paul bought it.

Default Getting excited about having XM in the car!

Do you have to purchase a subscription, or will your old unit be somehow "registered" so it will work right away?

Default You will receive a signal once you install it, but only PREVIEW channels, until..

you go on-line to xm.com and register the units s/n, etc. You probably ought to call an installer (BEST BUY ) and ask him what FM channel to set the unit at for XM receiving. Here in Atlanta they seem to use FM87.5. I see from the UPS tracking advice that it's on your local delivery truck at 6AM this morning.
