Default You guys may or may not "know" about //SFest...

It's a get together I started back in 2002 @ my house when I had my UrS6 and has grown each year from there.

I'd like to get an idea of who from AW D2 here would like to attend should there be an event Sat. 8/25 here in sunny CT.

For those likely and unfortunately unfamiliar, please reference my event recap's from '06, '05, and '04 <a href="http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid= 216&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0">here</a>, <a href="http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid= 184&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0">here</a>, and <a href="http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid= 60&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0">here</a>.

Muwahahahaha, pardon.

Anyway, lemme know if you'd come. As you can see we draw from all of the US and Canada, and you need not have an //Scar to join us heh heh.

And we *always* have fun. More muwhahahahaha...

Default Sounds like a great event- I appreciate the invitation, but the 2000 mi drive may be too much.

Just know my two urS8's are w/ you in spirit!

And so is my (sold) urQuattro, and my (sold and heavily modded w/ RS2 goodies) urS4.

Default Now you know the reason I started the event in MY backyard! Kept me from having to drive 2k miles.

Heh heh heh.

Kidding aside, we have "commuters" that have come from MI &amp; IL for all 5 years, and many from GA, NC, VA, OH, Toronto for repeated years. Even a CO fly-in 2x now.

Nuts, you all are.

But again, nuts is why this whole thing exists.

No worries, your spirit is def. here amongst the insanity!

Default Dooooooooooo eeeeeeeeeeet! Love to meet ya - your quote below in your BMW post...

...really sums up the whole reason I started this whole shebang in the first place - put faces with the great names / personalities I'd met online since purchasing my car.

I've owned BMW's, Benzes, etc. and non of the dudes associated with those marques were fractionally as cool as the Audiots I'd "met" online.

And then I birthed //SFest - and there was much rejoicing (yay).

Stop me before I throw in more Pythonisms would ya???

Oh, funny you write Mark - I'm literally just returing from lunch with a UrS Lister from Toronto who came down with his friend that he'd tipped off on that silver '01 //S8 you and I spoke on. Picked it up moments ago...
