so the dealer quoted $1,000 for an alignment because i have the adaptive cruise option. Can anyone provide some other options for this maybe?

Check other dealers or an Audi independant.
I don't see how adaptive cruise has anything to do with it, although I could be wrong.
good luck.

The adaptive cruise is quite complicated to set up and there is a list of items that one changed / adjusted, make re-calibration of the Radar module necessary. (as per Audi technical notes)
You haven't said why the alignment is being done in the first place, have you had worn parts replaced, been in an accident?
Hope this helps

is what my dealer would have charged....
I bought my car used, but it was still covered by Audi Assured. My ACC threw up a "sensor blocked/ACC not available message. The work order showed a charge for alignment of $349

Sounds more like it. Figure an hour or two of labor to recalibrate, and about $180-200 for an alignment.
