04 Coolant leak

My 04 developed a coolant leak this week when it was cold (below 0 deg F).
The leak looks like it is above the oil pan and near the alternator on the passenger side. The rigid oil cooler lines look dry. Is it possible that the oil filter mount could leak coolant where it attaches to the block? Any ideas to check? Thanks, Jeff

I think you are correct that the plastic nipple has cracked. This was a big problem on the D2, but I have not read any posts on people having problems with the D3. On another board, they said the casting changed for the D2 and D3, but they used the same nipple. Reading about the replacement, it sounds like it is a long repair (7 hours). I need it to warm-up in Minnesota.
