Is this car currently available, or just the L model again in NA? What engines are available, and is there a sport /ultra-sport package? Any news on a D3 S8?

It only comes with the 4.2 V8 currently and there is a Sport Package option. No official news yet on the S8 but it will be shown at Frankfurt this year.

This is the information I found:

Sport Package for 2005
For both A8 and A8L it includes:

3 spoke multi finction wheel with paddles- Leather
19" 5 spoke wheels (from RS6) with performance tires
Adaptive Air Suspension-Sport. *

BUT only available with Black and Gray interiors.

*Adaptive electronic air sport suspension has firmer air springs, lower ground clearance in dynamic mode and lower minimum ground clearance in automatic mode than the "regular" adaptive electronic air suspension. Those are the only differences betwen the two air suspensions.

Audi S5 TC

Word has it that the sport seats and ventilated seats are mutually exclusive. IMO, it is just plain stupid to not offer ventilated with the sport seats. BMW does this too and it is irritating as hell. Wake the f**k up Audi. The market and buyers demand that ventilated seats be available with all seat configurations, be it sport, comfort, regular, and so forth.

as opposed to sport. IMO, with sport seats, you`d probably need ventilation more considering the heat generated by the warp speeds!!!

What is the difference between the standard seats and the sport seats? Are the sport seats also perforated leather? I've looked at the pictures on the German website but they are too small to see the distinction.
