My 07 S8 check engine light came on and is throwing code P2020. I met up with Mikes1980 cleared the code but it has returned 2 weeks later. Any ideas as to the issue, fixes and cost of repair? Have any of you other D3 S8 owners had this problem? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

P2020 means -> Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance

It is related to the Intake Manifold "switcher". Normally the engine will change the length of the intake manifold depending from the RPMs. If I remember correctly before 3000 RMPs triggers that event.

First I would inspect it visually. If you take off the plastic cover in front of the engine - you'll see that mechanism. Inspect it visually and when you exceed 3000 RPM you should see how vacuum switcher pull or push the different positions of the intake (idle and let say 4000 rpm).
If that works – then it is sensor.
