Default 2004 A8L location of Bose amp?

merry christmas.
I am trying to replace my oem bose amp with oem bose amp.( my current bose amp has error).
Where is this located? I don't see from leftside. is it in the wheel arch?
if so, how do I get to that location?

Thanks.

mounted as far outboard as it can be. What is your present amp doing or not doing that is not as it should be?

Make sure you do not have a fault / protection code set for the amp. On my 2005 the right side amp went quiet when it was disconnected while the battery was still active. I was looking for a replacement amp and called Bose. Thety suggested I have the dealer scan and check for other problems since they do not see many failures on these amps. With mine it was symply a case of doing a reset on the protection bit.

Good luck

The swap is a straight remove and replace. Make sure the battery is disconnected for a half hour or so. I am pretty sure you will have to have the unit recoded. Audi is sensative that way..
Good luck
