Default Hey buddy, keep us posted....

I had a couple of major problems with my car when I first got it, and almost lost heart with it. Keep with it, and when you get it sorted, you'll be looking back as you walk away from it in parking lots before you know it...

Also, I was wondering where you got your front license plate filler.

I will be posting pics of the car soon.

Thank you!

Even with the suspension not being functioning well... It still is a sexy car. I had thoughts of fixing it to proper order and maybe re-selling it but I think I will be keeping it.

Sexy cars for sure.

As others have said, will say, this will be the best vehicle you've ever owned and you will fall in love with it.
Well a love/hate relationship some days, but mostly love.

Why drive a car when you can pilot an Audi.

The sound of the V8 is absolutely magnificent.
I'm not a very aggressive driver but used to 'get on it' quite often just to hear the beast roar.
That's one thing I really miss about the D3.

What do you miss; did you gget a 12, 6 or is the V8 too quiet in the D4?

You don't hear the same growl on the D4 when accelerating hard.
Interestingly the RPM's are much lower both at idle and cruising speed.
Around 500 at idle and 1,200 at 65 IIRC.

The security glass may be a lot of it, and it may get "louder" over time.
I do only have 470 miles on it so far.

I'll never own a 6, especially with start/stop "green" BS.
Didn't want to wait to order a W12 so I got the 4.2 V8 LWB.

I really wanted a 4.2 TDI but then Audi hasn't even announced the 2013's yet

I stand corrected.
It has so much power you don't need to hit the accelerator anywhere as hard.
Really got in it yesterday in traffic and the growl is there - even through the double pane glass

I took the car to Euro Motorcars here in SF. All of the control arms are done, front right airbag done and timing belt and tune up got done as well. Over $3k in damages. I should be getting the car back next week. At least I'll have more confidence knowing my car is running mechanically sound.

Sounds like they gave you a very honest price for all that! I think the Tbelt alone is pushing the $3k mark at $tealership service, and you'd be giving them a blank check with that suspension problem!

Welcome to the wonderful world of sophisto-cars!
