I bought this car last month and I attached a snapshot of my MMI version.. I have no issues thus far except I can not pair my Sony Xperia phone to the car (via bluetooth) - it just hang when the car MMI tries to confirm bonding.. The second issue is with the parking sensor beeping getting strange and when resetting MMI it become just fine...
Aside from those issues and according to my MMI version, Do I need to perform upgrade/update? if yes, where can I get the best deal? from Ebay?
Also, If I update to the latest version, will my current Nav maps (middle east maps) DVD still work?
Thank you alot,
Fahad

Welcome!
MMI update should fix your phone pairing problem. Not sure which version you are using there. You can order update CD's from a dealer. In US they are ~$20. Your navigation maps should work, but you may consider getting the latest version too. Roads are changing all the times.

Thanks Mishar -- I think the version I'm running is 2830 based on the screen shot, someone correct me if I'm wrong.. Dealer is asking lots of $$$ for the SW update and for the updated Nav map DVD..

I bought my MMI software update on ebay for $25. The guy is really comprehensive and goes through all kinds of questions about your current software before he sends you the solution so that you get the right instructions/software.

That's why the seller I bought from asked multiple questions. He also wanted to know about navigation version, etc. There are multiple sources for nav discs. PM me if you want a referral.

Update went Okay, I have updated the MMI system (2830 to 5150, then to 5570) with no issues. Roughly took about 40 minutes. My DVD maps are still the old version - year 2004, and works with the new update with 3D review option - I really can not call it a real 3D, but nice view option.
I can now access the climate control via MMI however, the problem that still exist even after the update is the Bluetooth pairing, the phone sees the Audi MMI bluetooth, set the PIN pairing number, MMI confirm it and then it FREEZES..
