Hey guys-
Does anyone know how to remove the plate cover / filler on the front bumper?
I've read some places to "just yank it off", but am not excited about that. My gut says there are screws or bolts somewhere holding it on.
Don't want to pay the dealership to remove if it's something easy. Checked my Bentley manual and there is nothing there.
I have a custom German plate and frame that I'd like to mount, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks- Jake

There is ~6 clips(molded into the plate itself) that hold the plate in. If you do not care about reusing it, you could pull it off. Otherwise, you are going to have to work from behind to gently get the clips to release.

Perfect, thanks for the info!
I ended up using a big honkin' spatula and a plastic putty knife to hold it "open" whilst prying.
Looks like 4 tabs on the top and 4 on the bottom.
Now to figure out the size bolts to hold the frame on and it'll be done.
Will post a couple pictures as it progresses.

No clips broke, but then I was very gentle with it.

I'd be happy to pass it on to anyone who wants it. It does have a few dings though from previous owner:

Once off this is what I saw:

So I had to drill 4 holes, one at each corner and use push in rivets to hold frame on:

And here it is installed:
