Hi ~ Can anyone explain all of the benefits and drawbacks of having the 2005 bluetooth car?
Are there more reference materials out there on the audi A8 bluetooth implementation?
Thanks

Bad thing, they have something like one cradle for it....so from my understanding, every time you get in your car, you have to re-pair your phone to the Bluetooth box.....
The Cullmann phone cradle pairs it with it's internal hardware/software to the Bluetooth box.....so if you have anything but the one phone cradle they offer, you have to do it manually every time you get in the car.
Or this is what I understand.

If you have a Motorola Bluetooth phone, Audi has not created the cradle necessary to charge and have your phone handsfree. I have a cord in my ashtray for the charger and everytime I get in the car I have to "find" the phone- WHAT A PAIN!

OMG, that can't be the case with the Treo 650 given the marketing partnership with Audi?
I would expect that any bluetooth phone that is paired with the car would auto connect ANYTIME you get in the car.
Can anyone with a '05 bluetooth car verify?
Thx

I have the Motorola V710 (Verizon phone) and it attempts to pair every time I get in the car. About 50% of the time it is successful without intervention and the other 50% I have to disconnect than reconnect the phone and then it works. I set up a shortcut on my main screen to make the process easier.
