I have a 2007 A6 with an intermittent starter issue that occurs every now and then, I start it then the starter gets stuck and wont release itself ! an Audi specialist told me I have to replace the alternator but this didnt seem to be logical! as its no so annoying of a problem I preferred to wait and see.
