Hi Misha, I am in Vancouver, BC and all shops I asked told me they only replace the entire control arm (there are 8 arms) and quoted around $3000, not the bushings. The reason they give is "Audi doesn't sell bushings by itself" we know it is not true. I am planning to order the bushings on rockauto but having a really hard time to find a mechanic to replace them for me, I read on the forum and see you have got yours done, wondering if you can recommend a good mechanic in Vancouver?

I'm not in Vancouver, but big tip: No on the eight arms. Only count to eight if you do both upper AND lower arms. The four uppers are where the issue is, not the lowers in general. Rafts of posts on uppers, mine included, almost none on lowers. Complete upper arms for dealer OE don't cost remotely like $3000 or even more than 25% of that for the parts, at least if you go discounted dealer. In plainest English, lower arms are typically a waste of money unless you have a specific issue there.

If you go upper bushings only, buy the OES Lemforders or from discounted dealer, not one of the many off brands, a lot of which are junk. You can also get the complete Lemforder arms that are OES as long as it is an A8. S8 is dealer only, because of the bushings.
