A clogged injector is going to be due to carbon deposits, sorry but poor gas quality wasn't the main reason this issue came about. Or with your logic, my friends RS4 has 3 clogged injectors at 55k, using shell v-power and mobil/marathon premium since new; and with using "non-walmart" gas this could have been avoided? Don't think so!

There you are not right Brozee. Injectors get clogged (if that is the case) by carbon deposits but within them not on top. They come from any gas without injector cleaner additives. Some additional from time to time is good.

I'll tell you what the dealer told me is the main cause of carbonation, not using Premium Tier 1 gas, like Shell, Chevron, 76. I am a Mobil man and do put in fuel injector cleaner summer and winter. It did my 2005 Volvo XC90 V8 good for 125k, never an issue. Plan to keep doing so, even more so now that I know I am squeaky clean on the inside...

UPDATE:

So The Beast is back at the dealer for the 3rd time.
1st time - Bushings and O2 sensors; replaced under warranty.
2nd time - Check engine light went on after 24 hours; diagnosis=Heavy carbon deposit and faulty manifold and fuel injector #2, replaced and repaired under warranty.
3rd time - Check engine light went on 6 days after I had it back; diagnosis=Audi wants all fuel injectors replaced under warranty. Wonder why? As long as they are paying for it...

Once one injector goes usually the rest aren't far behind. I've seen it happen alot. As far as bad gas goes it will cause misfires but not usually clog an injector.

You are wrong. Bad gas won't cause any misfires (unless it is full of water) and it will eventually clog injectors.

You Sir are correct !!!

Why would one think the crappy fuel would not clog the injectors?

Default The Beast is back

UPDATE

The Beast is all well with all new fuel injectors, courtesy of Audi. Running quieter than I have ever heard it, maybe too quiet? Updated the mapping software to the latest they have (2012?) They also adjusted what I thought was a worn suspension/strut. Tight and almost as smooth as the 2013 A8L I was driving for almost a month.

So glad it's home.

This is all very interesting, as I am at the start of this I fear. My car was in the shop last month, where I did an oil change and they updated the engine ECU. Drove down to Florida (from NYC) and had the Check engine light come on. Cleared it, but came back on the drive back. Now the car is back in the shop for a second time, for a bad o2 sensor. They have spent three days, trying to diagnose and even did a 50 mile road test! I take it they are trying their hardest, not to have to replace anything? Car has about 45k miles on.
