My Car has been in the shop for a week now. I am so disappointed in Audi's overall service anyway, but whatever I guess we all know that. My car seems to hesitate from a cold start, especially when in reverse. It went in over a month ago and they stated it was the fuel pump and replaced it. Now it's back and they have run several tests apparently and can't seem to find the problem. They replaced 2 spark plugs and coils last week and ran the car this morning and it still had misfires and seems to be suffering from the same problem. They stated today they are opening a ticket with AUDI directly where they can troubleshoot with them now...they seem to think they have it narrowed down to the fuel injector (I have heard this before). They also state they have never run into this problem. Does anyone have any idea what this could be??? Thanks, JEFF

It was the main fuel pump on my car. There are two fuel pumps - a primary and a secondary. At first they did not think it was the fuel pump because fuel was getting to the engine. However, under load it wanted to die. They replaced the intake manifold first. I guess difficult to diagnose - wouldn't think so with all the electronics on board.

should they replace both fuel pumps? i am not sure which one they replaced the first time...

They had to get the Audi Tech guy on the phone to diagnose. They did not come to the conclusion on their own. I was out of town about 200 miles from home and they gave me a loaner to get home. They drove my car on a Saturday back to me after they figured out the problem. Could be the second fuel pump, but I would have them figure it out since it is covered under warranty.
