Default 2008 MY Order Guide details/changes/questions...

I just saw the 2008 order guide...

1. New colors--Ice Silver metallic, Cherry Black pearl effect, and Savana Beige pearl effect
2. Discontinued colors (from '07)--Light Silver metallic, Cambridge Green pearl effect, and Platinum Beige pearl effect
3. Audi Side Assist and Lane Assist is a new option ($1400) called "Audi driver assistance package" (7Y3)

I know what the Side Assist is because it's on my wife's Q7 and it works well. What's Audi Lane Assist??

No one has any color swatches to view.

My dealer is trying to confirm if the following options have now become standard:

1. Heated F/R seats--nothing on the order guide
2. Sirius receiver--nothing on the order guide
3. iPod interface to MMI--nothing on the order guide

Power door assist is a sold order option.
Heated steering wheel (w/o sport packages) now has shift paddles.

There is nothing known about cosmetic changes to the interior or exterior...yet.

Default Audi Lane Assist

Believe the Lane Assist vibrates the steering wheel if the system detects you drifting out of your lane.

Default Think the link explains the packages. NeilK is right about lane assist.

Default Best part of power door assist...

is the weird look on faces of those who don't quite close the door right, as they watch it continue to seal itself up. Great laughs.

Default Audi Side Assist means redesigned outside mirrors for the warning flasher and...

since more wiring is going to the mirror, they may have upgraded the front surfaces of the mirrors with turning signal indicators....just a guess.

Inside, the controls for Side Assist and Lane Assist have to be placed somewhere. Side Assist on the Q7 is on the driver's door panel near the door lock switch. Either or both might be something to bury in an MMI menu.

But is it $600 worth of laughs?
