4 Rotors, 8 Pads, 3 Hours
Just changed my brakes. It was easier than expected. Took me an hour for the first front , then half of it for the second. Same at rear. Only problem is weight. Starting with wheels, rotors, callipers… I had feeling that I am working on my truck. Had to use VCDS to open and close parking brakes and adapt pad thickness. I bought OEM parts online for $675. Also spent some for a beer. Just wonder how much it would be at Audi dealership.

Just asked the other day, my friendly dealer wants $700 labor for both front and rear, she told me that because the car has electronic brake "it takes longer to replace the rear ones " what a joke !

Nice! I am waiting on my slotted Adam's Rotors before I start the same project. Any tips? How bad were the carrier bolts (caliper to hub)? Going to put some spacers on too... can't wait!

Actually it takes less time and it is way simplified. You click VAG-COM command instead screwing caliper pistons back in. You even don't need to take apart caliper carriers in order to change rotors.
No need for any special tools, though pneumatic wrench helps a lot with wheels and front caliper carriers (rear ones you do not need to take out in order to change rotors).
Beer was German. Music was not.
