Default 55K service

Hello everyone!
I’ve just replaced my fuel filter, and when I was about to do that I had some questions. MisharR explained a lot, but I also found a nice description of the 55K service process with pictures and etc. It helped me A LOT as I was not sure how to detach teh clip from teh fuel filter. In my case I had to push Blue, Ellow or Black stripe to release the lock.
Anyway, here is the original link I was referring to:

Have a great day everyone!

Great! Not A8 but close enough.

There is a trick with bleeding brakes. Those little hoses should be longer and dipped into some brake fluid in order to prevent sucking air back. If it's done like that you can pump freely until you get clean fluid. You only need somebody to refill while doing so.

Default I've tried the hose in bucket, but

find on some cars it sucks air around the bleeder threads. I then see it on the next pump using clear tubing. So I've gone back to the two man close-open verbal command method. Whole family is now trained as my pump the pedal team.

+1. And the only way on Audi's with a hydraulic clutch. I had to buy a simar one for my '87 5000CSq when I was bleeding the brakes as well as replacing the clutch master cylinder. The two-person method won't work on that one. Too bad Snap-on was the only choice at the time (around 1993) as their plastic on was $100 and the steel one was $300 and the reservoir caps were extra. $15 for Vw/Audi and $30 for GM. The one pictured is a deal and a great value. Highly recommended.

Default Actually, for Audi lore

two person method did work for me on the old 5000. BTDT on a 1985 5000 w/ a 5 speed. Just had to pull up on the clutch with your shoe toe. Got a little crowded w/ the coffee can, the hose, the wrench (and the foot!) under the dash while keeping the carpet clean, but it was a go.

You just close it before the last pumping release and that little amount of air is locked out.

Speaking about "only right way to do it" check V-12 DIY Bleeder. That's the way they do it on airplanes. For the system flushing it needs additional pump to evacuate fluid from the reservoir. A little motor wouldn't hurt. Anybody interested in developing such tool?
